Umpteenth Zoo Visit

Yes, we go to the zoo a lot.
But there is always something new to see, and it is a great halfway meeting point between my parent's house and our house, since we usually go with my mom (Nana) and one cousin or another on Nana's annual pass.

We ALWAYS go on the train... This is Jonathan we are talking about here. Of course we have to go.
We also rode the carousel this visit, and for the first time, J did NOT freak out. I think it helps that we have occasionally been riding the penny horse at the grocery store. Same sort of movement of up and down.

This visit we concentrated on the birds. We toured Bird World, the outdoor bird displays and walked through the lorakeet enclosure. The lorakeets were beautifully colored, all different shades.
You could get very close to the birds, since the whole point was to feed them nectar, though we opted not to purchase it. Jonathan kept wanting to touch them, and almost got beak snapped!

Jonathan is brave! I'm a little bit scared of birds myself...
