Peabody Ducks (Holiday Catch-up)

While visiting Granmary and Grandad in Arkansas at Thanksgiving, we made a special trip downtown to the Little Rock Peabody Hotel to see the ducks. We have never gone there before, even though we've been to AR so many times. Jonathan just didn't have the attention span prior to this visit. But we made a special effort this trip. :)

Our visit happened to coincide with the Peabody's Christmas season kick-off with the lighting of their Christmas tree and a visit from Santa. So, not only did we get to see the duck parade, which was the main goal, we saw Santa, Mrs. Claus, a few elves, little Cindy-Lou Who, and a big duck. I didn't quite understand the point of all the extra characters, but I guess everything is bigger in the South? :) After the ceremonies, we declined to stand in the VERY LONG line to see Santa, but went for lunch instead.

[Waiting for the show]

[Here they come!]
