Two years ago today, Chris and I were given custody of Jonathan to allow us time to get used to each other by spending the night together at the Eastern guest house before our flight home the next day.
We celebrated last night with home made bulgogi/ japchae (a combo of both, with my own touches added) and then a yummy chocolate cookie dough ice cream cake.
As we were eating, Chris and I were remembering and talking to Jonathan about the special day. What was J doing two years ago right about now.... ? Screaming his head off! Probably thinking, "Who are these strange people.? Why do they keep trying to hug me? "
J's response tonight was, "Yeah, yeah." At two y.o., definitively still not quite there in the deep understanding department, but that is ok.
