Leaps and Bounds

In the past few weeks, J has been growing by leaps and bounds- both physically and developmentally.

He can now open our doors.
He feeds the cats with just supervision.
He puts our big kitty away in the kitty's special room (one of the bathrooms) for when we are away from the house, by himself.
All of a sudden he started asking for and drinking mostly successfully out of a big boy cup (no sippy lid).
We've moved from "pre-potty training" to "experimental potty training." (Some mornings wearing undies rather than a diaper.)
He is becoming opinionated about some of his clothes. Mostly shoes and coats.
He repeats everything. EVERYTHING. He is also speaking in mostly two or three word sentences now.
Long sleeve shirts are becoming too short in the sleeves.
He is back to eating multiple breakfasts, snacks and huge meals after a week or so break of just nibbling.

Here is an example of a huge meal. Last night we went out to the O Garden for dinner. Ordered J his own kid's spaghetti bowl. The child ate some salad, all of the olives from the salad, a breadstick and a half, and then his ENTIRE bowl of spaghetti. Plus drank a whole bunch of milk. Here are some iph0ne pics of the feat.
(That bowl WAS full.)

(Big ROUND belly!)

On another leaps and bounds front-
Got an e-mail from our social worker yesterday.... we have jumped up to #14 on the girl's waiting list. :)
