First, here is documentation of a recent escapade with the laundry:
J thought it was hilarious fun to climb in and out of the basket of dirty clothes waiting to be washed.

Teething:
J is teething his top molars in right now. Somehow he skipped the bottom two teeth on either side of the front ones which were "supposed" to be next. So he currently has two on the bottom, four on the top, with the molars coming in. From talking to other people with young kiddos, the "normal" sequence for teething is apparently not all that typical. Am still using ora-gel and teething tablets at night to help him sleep and he still chews on everything during the day. He also still drools a lot, but not quite as much as when he first came home, so I don't put bibs on him every day anymore.
Naps:
He is still transitioning to one nap a day. Depending on our schedule, he gets two (morning and afternoon) or one afternoon nap a day. The total amount of time he naps is about the same either way... well, almost.
Nights:
He is doing much better at night! Praises for that. :) Some nights he doesn't peep. He rarely has a night terror now, but if he does, I can tell the difference between that and a night mare and know how to comfort him back to a better sleep. Night mares occur maybe every 3 nights, but again, I can now tell the difference and know what works for him to calm down back to sleep. The best part is that when he does have sleep disturbances, they really do not last long anymore.
Growth:
J is a skinny bean pole. He keeps growing up, but hasn't put on any weight since about his first birthday. He eats and eats and eats though, so the pedi wasn't worried. He is still about 20 1/2 - 21 lbs depending on the day (and how much he ate at the last meal!) When I charted his growth and weight last, he was 5th percentile for weight and 60th percentile for height.
Things J likes to do:
TormentLove on the kitties- Play with cars and say "Vroom, vroom"
- Push his ride-on /outside cars around the driveway
- Dance and/or march in place and/or turn around in circles
- Sing (Just babbling, but with musical inflection)
- Give kisses and hugs
- Get tickled, tickle me
- Pick up things (anything) and put them in buckets or baskets or any container
- He must help with everything- brushing his teeth or hair, putting the diapers in the trash
- Hold the books we read- apparently C and I are not allowed to hold the night-night books anymore. Good thing the stories are memorized at this point.
New Developmental Type things:
- Combining more than one sign to form two words (Eat more- go figure)
- ~ 10 signs
- Speaks ~ 8 words, though it is more hit or miss
- Understands EVERYTHING we say, though whether he chooses to listen or not is another story.
- Is starting to recognize colors.
- Can sort-of color, well, at least make some marks
We've been spending lots of time with Nana, Papa and J's cousins. I'll have to ask for permission to post the cousins' pictures on here though. We are working on the yard still. Going to church. Day to day grind of life (like laundry). That's about it. Looking forward to some upcoming summer fun. :)
