More on Naps

This past week I started experimenting with our schedule to see if J can handle one nap a day in the afternoon.
Some days he makes it past lunch, others, like today, are not so good. He started yawning and rubbing his eyes halfway through lunch today and then got very whiny trying to get him to finish eating! But then he went right to sleep when we went upstairs, so no fighting that which sometimes happened before.
The good thing is, on most one nap days, he is sleeping longer. 3 hours one day, 2 hrs and 15 minutes the next. When he does sleep longer, he makes it to bed time with no problems. If he only sleeps for an hour and 20 minutes (average for the morning nap prior to experimenting) then he whines and whines starting at 5:30 or 6ish.The good days show me that he really is ready for this transition, but then on the bad days I question my decision. I'm trying to stick with it for a good solid few weeks and hope his little body adjusts accordingly.

Other advancements:
Off formula completely (happened a few weeks ago) and now on whole milk. Down to two bottles per day (morning and night), with a sippy cup or straw cup of milk at lunch and snack to get the recommended daily allowance for toddlers. 6 teeth! (He is just a slow teether.) Outgrowing some of his 12 months size shirts and pajamas and all of the socks that were not 12-18 month sized. ~21 pounds, ~ 31 inches. Can almost run (oy!).
