Baptism

The day after J's birthday party, we also celebrated his baptism. We would have done it earlier, but I wanted some out-of-state family (especially J's Aunt J and Uncle A who are also his godparents) to be able to be there, so we planned the two celebrations in a combined weekend.

Since we always manage to be 5 minutes late, we planned ahead and arrived quite early to the service, so had time to take some pictures before hand.

We attend a very contemporary service at a large UM church, so although his baptism was an act of great significance, the whole thing was pretty casual. J did really well, and let Pastor K hold him and didn't fuss at all. It's like he knew something important was up!

Baptized into the Grace of God! Welcome to God's family, baby J!
